Lea Michele may play good girl Rachel Berry on the Fox hit Glee, but the 23-year-old has an edgy exterior.
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, the star reveals she has nine tattoos. So, what are they?
On a recent trip to Chicago, she talked Glee castmates Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale into getting matching "Imagine" tats on their left feet. Says Michele of the $50 ink, "I'm known to be the instigator to do some more risky stuff. So we have little tattoos on our feet now... It made a lot of sense that night."
She got another tattoo the same night -- a gold star inspired by her overachieving Glee character.
After getting her big break in the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening, Michele added the title of the Broadway show's song "I Believe" in teal ink on her right wrist.
Her other tattoos include a blue butterfly on her right foot that her cousin drew for her, and another butterfly on her back, which she got with her mom.
Michele also has a bird on her hip, two musical notes -- from Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" -- on her left shoulder and a tattoo on her thigh that she got in memory of her grandfather, who passed away a year ago. - from
